Common questions.
Yes. You need an invite code from someone already on Scene. Each user gets a limited number of codes to share - keep them for people you actually want in your city's scene.
You need to set a general area (e.g. Clifton, DHA, Gulberg) to see Scenes near you, but we never share your exact, real-time GPS coordinates with anyone. You remain in complete control.
Yes. All DMs and group chats on Scene use end-to-end encryption (NaCl/X25519). Messages are encrypted on your device before they leave - the server stores only ciphertext. We cannot read your conversations, and neither can anyone else.
We are starting exclusively in Karachi, Pakistan, and expanding city by city. If you aren't in Karachi, join the waitlist and we will notify you as soon as your city is unlocked.

We built Scene for the people who are always the ones trying to make something happen. The coordinators, the hosts, the ones who keep their circles together. We wanted to give them a better tool - and a better city view.
So we built a curation engine, not just a feed. We score every event by vibe, exclusivity, proximity, and what people who actually go out think of it. Editorial notes from people who know the scene, not an ad auction.

Privacy Policy
1. Overview
Scene coordinates real-world meetups through trust-centric peer curation. We do not track users across the web or sell profile data to third-party advertisers. We collect only what's needed to verify accounts, compute safety and trust signals, map nearby plans, and enable private communication.
2. Biometric & Identity Data
At signup, we collect an unedited face photo and process it against your profile picture using self-hosted facial feature extraction to confirm identity consistency.
Selfie images and verification metadata are stored securely, accessible only to administrators and review teams for audit trails - never shared publicly or exposed to other users.
3. Geolocation
We collect and store your approximate location when you open the app or share a coordination point. This is used to calculate proximity to nearby scenes and partner venues.
Precise coordinates are never shared with public users - only shown as a randomised general distance, or shared explicitly with mutual connections when you opt into a plan.
4. Encrypted Messages
Messages between connections use client-side end-to-end encryption (X25519 public/private keypairs stored on-device). Scene servers store encrypted payloads only and cannot read message content.
5. Account Integrity & Trust
We collect social handles (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X) and peer vouch records (giver, receiver, comment) to evaluate trust scores. Referral and invite graphs are tracked to verify authentic local connections.
6. Your Right to Delete
Account deletion requests result in deactivation and deletion of your profile details, KYC selfies, trust vouches, and encryption keys within 30 days, subject to retention required for legal disputes or safety audits.

Terms of Service
1. Admission
Scene is private and invite-only. Admission is curated at Scene's sole discretion. Applications may be deferred or declined for: unverifiable identity, lack of trust endorsements, duplicate accounts, or density limits in specific city sub-hubs.
2. Identity Verification
All users upload a clear, unedited selfie at signup, verified against your profile. Accounts using false photos, others' images, or stock photos are terminated immediately. Selfies remain private and are never shown to other users.
3. Trust Score & Vouches
Trust score increases through peer vouches. Monthly vouch limits reset on the 1st of each month: New Users - 10/month, Standard - 20/month, Trusted - 30/month. Collusive vouching, vouch-trading, or gaming the system is forbidden and results in suspension.
4. Real-World Safety
You are solely responsible for your own safety when meeting others in person. Meet in public, well-lit spaces - partner venues are recommended. Harassment, non-consensual tracking, hate speech, or conduct that undermines community safety is grounds for immediate exclusion. Scene is not liable for disputes, injuries, or losses arising from peer-coordinated activities.
5. Platform Use
Scene may modify, suspend, or terminate your access at any time for behaviour that undermines community trust, violates these terms, or at Scene's discretion.
6. Content & IP
You retain ownership of content you post but grant Scene a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute it to operate the platform. Scene's software, platform, logos, and UI belong exclusively to Scene Inc. and its licensors.
7. Disclaimer
Service is provided "as is" and "as available." No warranties of merchantability, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement. No guarantee of uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure operation.
8. Limitation of Liability
Scene is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service, third-party conduct or offline meetups, or unauthorised access to your data.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Karachi, Pakistan.
10. Privacy & Consent
Using Scene means consenting to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data (email, profile, selfie, location) as described in the .
